Like humans, plants do best when they are healthy. When plants are healthy, their natural defenses will tend to protect them from problem insects and diseases. Our tree and shrub care services involve three key steps:

1. We inventory all trees and shrubs in your landscape, noting the potential or existing problem areas or plant specimens, and then monitor the landscape for changes or improvements to plant health.
2. We develop your landscape’s health by providing a continual feeding of nutrients and soil enhancers.
3. Finally, if pest and/or disease issues are identified, we treat as appropriate, using the least toxic approaches.

 

Details of our natural tree and shrub care services include:

Fertilization and deep-root feedings – As part of our monitoring program we use a 100% organic granular fertilizer, and do deep-root feedings to develop strong root systems and healthy plants. In addition, we do foliar feedings using such products as compost tea and sea kelp, and perform soil drenches with mycorrhizae (beneficial fungi). Our organic products add vital organic matter to your soil and will dramatically enhance your soil’s micro-organism population, which is the life of your soil. 

Disease/pest management – In Harmony regularly monitors your trees and shrubs and develops a treatments strategy around their needs, including dormant oil sprays, selective treatments for insect and disease control, nematodes for root weevil control and more.
